address space
All the addresses a program can use, from 0 up to the largest the machine allows.
An address space is the range of addresses a program can form; on 64-bit systems user programs use a subset of a 2^64 range.
Examples
A 16-bit address space has 2¹⁶ = 65,536 addresses,
0x0000to0xFFFF.
