movabs

The x86-64 instruction that puts a full 64-bit number into a register in one go.

movabs (GNU spelling; Intel syntax writes mov r64, imm64) is the only x86-64 form with a 64-bit immediate, encoded in 10 bytes.

Examples

  • movabs rax, 0x123456789ABCDEF0 loads a full 64-bit constant in one 10-byte instruction.
