pseudo-instruction
A convenient instruction name the assembler turns into one or more real instructions, like RISC-V's li and ret.
A pseudo-instruction is assembler syntax with no encoding of its own, expanded to one or more real instructions (li a0, 42 becomes addi a0, zero, 42).
