Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

scaled index

An index multiplied by the element size inside the memory operand, as in [rdi + rsi*4] for an array of 4-byte ints.

A scaled index is the index-register term of an effective address multiplied by a power of two, rsi*4 on x86-64 or x1, lsl #2 on ARM64, implementing base + i * sizeof(T) in one operand.

Examples

  • [rdi + rsi*4] indexes an array of 4-byte ints: element number rsi.
