swap space
Disk space the operating system uses to park pages it has pushed out of RAM when RAM runs short.
Swap space (a swap partition or file on Linux, the page file on Windows, swap files on macOS) holds evicted anonymous pages; their entries are marked not-present with the disk location in the software bits, and access causes a major page fault.
