inverse property
Every number has a partner that undoes it — a negative, or a reciprocal.
The inverse property guarantees an "undo" for each operation: a+(-a)=0 (the additive inverse), and a \cdot \frac1a = 1 for a \neq 0 (the multiplicative inverse, or reciprocal).
