sanitizer

A compiler option that adds run-time checks and reports bugs as they happen.

Sanitizers instrument a build to detect a class of bugs at run time: AddressSanitizer (memory errors), LeakSanitizer (leaks), UndefinedBehaviorSanitizer (UB), ThreadSanitizer (data races). They slow the program and are used in testing, not shipping.
