class library

A project that builds reusable code into a .dll other projects can use.

A class library project (OutputType Library) compiles to an assembly with no entry point, consumed through project or package references.

Examples

  • dotnet new classlib -o Shop.Core creates a library project that builds Shop.Core.dll.
