.csproj file

The small XML file that describes one C# project and how to build it.

A .csproj is an MSBuild project file; SDK-style projects declare an Sdk and set properties and items, inheriting everything else from the SDK's imported targets.

Examples

  • <Project Sdk="Microsoft.NET.Sdk"> with <OutputType>Exe</OutputType> and <TargetFramework>net10.0</TargetFramework> in a <PropertyGroup>.
