delegate

A variable that holds a method you can call later.

A delegate is a type-safe reference to one or more methods with a matching signature; invoking it calls them.

Examples

  • delegate decimal PriceRule(decimal price); declares a delegate type; a PriceRule variable can hold any method with that shape.
