double

C#'s everyday number type for values with fractions.

double (System.Double) is a 64-bit IEEE 754 binary floating-point type with about 15–17 significant decimal digits.

Examples

  • Console.WriteLine(0.1 + 0.2); prints 0.30000000000000004: a double can't store most decimal fractions exactly.
