IAsyncDisposable

Like IDisposable, but the cleanup itself is awaited.

IAsyncDisposable declares DisposeAsync(), awaited by await using, for resources whose release involves I/O.

Examples

  • await using var file = new FileStream("data.bin", FileMode.Create); awaits DisposeAsync at the end of the block.
