MSBuild item

An entry in a list in a project file, such as a source file or a package.

MSBuild items are typed lists (Compile, None, PackageReference, ProjectReference) with metadata, declared in ItemGroup and read with @(Type).

Examples

  • <ProjectReference Include="../Shop.Core/Shop.Core.csproj" /> is one item in the ProjectReference list.
