Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

overflow

A result too big (or too small) for its type.

Integer overflow occurs when an arithmetic result lies outside the type's range; unchecked arithmetic wraps around, checked arithmetic throws OverflowException.

Examples

  • With int big = int.MaxValue;, big + 1 wraps around to -2147483648; inside checked(...) it throws OverflowException instead.
