Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

password hashing

Storing a scrambled, one-way version of a password instead of the password itself.

Passwords are stored as slow, salted, one-way hashes (PBKDF2, bcrypt, Argon2); verifying re-hashes the attempt and compares in constant time.

Examples

  • new PasswordHasher<User>().HashPassword(user, password) returns a salted PBKDF2 hash to store in place of the password.
