microprocessor
A processor chip that needs separate memory and support chips, as in a PC or a Raspberry Pi.
A microprocessor contains a CPU but relies on external RAM, storage and support chips, and normally runs a full operating system. That is the difference from a microcontroller, which carries its memory and peripherals on one chip.
