esp-hal

The Rust hardware library for Espressif chips, whose version 1.0 promises a stable core API.

esp-hal is the esp-rs HAL for ESP32-family chips; 1.0 stabilised a core subset, with the rest behind its unstable feature.

Examples

  • A blocking esp-hal 1.0.0 program for the ESP32-C6 toggles an LED in a loop, waiting with Instant rather than a delay call.

  • esp-hal's esp_hal::init hands out the Peripherals struct, from which Output::new(peripherals.GPIO8, ...) takes the fan pin.
