Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

false positive

An alert raised when nothing is actually wrong.

A false positive is a detection reported for a normal condition; lowering a threshold or shortening a hold count trades fewer misses for more false positives.

Examples

  • A single knock on the fan housing raises an alert with hold 1, though nothing is wrong: a false positive.

  • Raising the hold count from 1 to 3 removes the knock trace's false alerts but delays the true imbalance alert by two seconds.
