VLAN
A separate network sharing the same switches and Wi-Fi, kept apart by tags.
A VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q) tags frames so that devices on different VLANs share equipment but communicate only through a router, where firewall rules apply.
Examples
IoT VLAN 20,
gh-devices, on 192.168.20.0/24 holds the bench nodes and the BLE gateway, sharing switches with the office network but kept apart by tags.An access point can map the
gh-devicesSSID to VLAN 20, so Wi-Fi devices land on the IoT segment automatically.
