compact source file
A Java file with just a main method and no class around it.
A compact source file (final in Java 25) contains top-level methods and fields without an enclosing class declaration; the compiler wraps them in an implicitly declared class.
Examples
A whole program:
void main() { IO.println("Hello"); }saved asHello.java.
