exception chaining

Catching an exception and throwing a new one that holds the first as its cause.

Each wrapper adds context; the stack trace prints the chain outermost first, each cause under Caused by, with shared frames shown as ... n more.

Examples

  • throw new StorageException("save failed", e); keeps e as the cause.
