conjunction

An "and" claim, or the argument form that builds one.

A conjunction is a statement of the form "P and Q," true only when both parts are true. The argument form of the same name concludes "P and Q" from the separate premises P and Q.

Examples

  • "The store is open and the parking is free" is a conjunction.
