false dilemma
Presenting two options as the only ones when there are others.
A false dilemma argues from a disjunction that leaves out real alternatives: "either A or B; not A; so B." The form is valid, but the either-or premise is false.
Examples
"Either we buy the most expensive model or we accept a laptop that breaks in a month."
