Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

stack overflow

Using more stack than the program has.

A stack overflow happens when frames need more room than the fixed-size stack has; Rust aborts the program.

Examples

  • fn f(n: u64) -> u64 { f(n + 1) + 1 } has no base case, so it keeps pushing frames until the program aborts with a stack overflow message.
