Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

type

The kind of value something is, like i32 or String.

A type determines a value's size, representation, and the operations allowed on it; every Rust value has one type fixed at compile time.

Examples

  • let lives: u32 = "three"; fails with E0308, expected u32, found &str: text is not a whole number.
