memory bandwidth
How many bytes per second can flow between memory and the processor; streaming code is limited by this, not by how long one access takes.
Memory bandwidth is the sustained data transfer rate between a level of the hierarchy and the cores (GB/s); a streaming loop is bandwidth-bound when its bytes per second demanded exceed it, independent of latency.
