NZCV

ARM64's four status flags - Negative, Zero, Carry, oVerflow - and the name of the register that holds them.

NZCV is the ARM64 system register holding the condition flags N (result negative), Z (result zero), C (carry, or no borrow on subtraction) and V (signed overflow).

Examples

  • ARM64 subs w0, w1, w2 with w1 equal to w2 sets Z = 1 and C = 1 (C = 1 means no borrow).
