Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

page size

How many bytes one page holds: 4 KiB on x86-64 Linux and Windows, 16 KiB on Apple's ARM64 Macs.

The base page size is set by the architecture and the kernel's configuration (x86-64: 4 KiB; ARM64: 4, 16 or 64 KiB granules; RISC-V Sv39/Sv48: 4 KiB); it fixes the number of page-offset bits. Programs should query it (sysconf(_SC_PAGESIZE), GetSystemInfo) rather than assume it.

Examples

  • 4 KiB on x86-64 Linux and Windows; 16 KiB on macOS on Apple silicon.
