EditorConfig

A settings file that tells every editor and the build how your code should be formatted and styled.

An .editorconfig file sets formatting and code-style rules (and analyzer severities) that IDEs and dotnet format apply consistently.

Examples

  • [*.cs] followed by indent_size = 4 in .editorconfig sets four-space indents for every C# file.
