options pattern

Reading a group of settings into a small class your code asks for.

The options pattern binds a configuration section to a strongly typed class, injected as IOptions, IOptionsSnapshot or IOptionsMonitor.

Examples

  • builder.Services.Configure<ShopOptions>(builder.Configuration.GetSection("Shop"));, then a constructor that takes IOptions<ShopOptions>.
