configuration

Settings your program reads at startup instead of having them written into the code.

Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration layers key/value sources (appsettings.json, environment-specific JSON, user secrets, environment variables, command line), later sources overriding earlier ones.

Examples

  • builder.Configuration["Shop:PageSize"] reads one setting, wherever it came from.
