An object that stores and fetches your domain objects so the rest of the code doesn't talk to the database directly.
A repository presents a collection-like interface over persistence; with EF Core, DbSet and DbContext already play this role.
Examples
IOrderRepositorywithGetAsync(id)andAddAsync(order), so the rest of the code never sees SQL or EF Core.
