unit of work

An object that collects changes and saves them all together, or not at all.

A unit of work tracks changes to a set of objects and commits them atomically; DbContext with SaveChanges is one.

Examples

  • An EF Core DbContext: every change you make waits until one SaveChanges saves them all together.
