transaction
A group of database changes that all happen or none of them do.
A database transaction is an atomic unit of work; SaveChanges wraps its commands in one, and BeginTransaction spans several operations.
Examples
Taking stock off the shelf and recording the order in one transaction, so a crash can't leave one done without the other.
