Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

stream

A pipe of bytes you read from or write to a piece at a time.

System.IO.Stream is the abstract base for sequential byte sources and sinks (files, memory, network), with Read, Write, Seek and Flush.

Examples

  • FileStream photo = File.OpenRead("photo.jpg"); gives a stream you read a buffer at a time, however big the file is.
