batching
Saving up several readings and writing them in one go, which is much cheaper than one write each.
Batching groups several records into one write or transaction, trading a little latency for far fewer round trips and commits.
Examples
Instead of one commit per greenhouse reading, the ingest consumer collects readings and writes them with one
executemanyinside a single transaction, paying the disk wait once.
