crash report

A message sent at boot describing why the device last restarted.

A crash report summarises the previous reset -- reason, breadcrumb, firmware version, uptime and optionally a core dump digest -- sent home after the next successful connection.

Examples

  • After a task_wdt reset, the next boot builds a report with the firmware version, reset reason, crash count, core-dump summary and breadcrumb, and publishes it once online.

  • The routine crash report carries only the crashed task's name and code addresses, never the full RAM dump with Wi-Fi passwords in it.
