Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

packet capture

A recording of the packets that crossed a network interface, so you can inspect them later.

A packet capture records frames seen by an interface (with tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump) for decoding layer by layer; you capture only networks and devices you own or are authorized to inspect.

Examples

  • Running Wireshark or tcpdump on your own laptop records the sensor's traffic to a .pcapng file you can inspect later.

  • A capture filtered to host 192.168.1.37 keeps only the greenhouse sensor's packets, such as its DNS query to port 53.
