shared subscription

A subscription several clients share, so each message goes to just one of them.

An MQTT 5 shared subscription ($share//) delivers each matching message to one member of the group, spreading load across consumers.

Examples

  • Two loggers subscribed to $share/loggers/gh1/+/telemetry/# split six readings between them, one getting 0, 2 and 4 and the other 1, 3 and 5, so nothing is stored twice.
