support handoff
Passing responsibility for a running system to the team that will support it.
A support handoff transfers documents, individual access, the escalation path, known issues and the limits of remote action, and is accepted only after the receiving team has handled a staged fault from the runbook.
Examples
Handing the greenhouse to support means documents, individual accounts with roles, known issues and an escalation path, never a zip and a shared login.
The handoff is accepted only after support has handled a staged fault, such as a node taken offline, using the runbook.
