stack trace

The report Java prints when an exception isn't handled, showing where it happened.

A stack trace lists the exception's type and message, then the chain of method calls active when it was thrown, innermost first, with file names and line numbers.

Examples

  • Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ArithmeticException: / by zero followed by at Share.main(Share.java:4).
