this

Inside a constructor or instance method, a reference to the object being built or worked on.

this is the reference to the current object. this.field names a field hidden by a same-named parameter, and this(...) as a constructor's call delegates to another constructor.

Examples

  • this.width = width; assigns the parameter to the field it shadows.
