Cargo.toml

The file that describes a Cargo project and its dependencies.

Cargo.toml is a package's manifest (in TOML): its name, version, edition, and dependencies.

Examples

  • A new package's Cargo.toml has a [package] table with name, version = "0.1.0" and edition = "2024", then an empty [dependencies] table.
