library crate

A crate meant to be called by other code, with src/lib.rs and no main.

A library crate (cargo new --lib) exposes pub items for other crates and has no entry point.

Examples

  • cargo new --lib fines creates src/lib.rs with no main; cargo test works, but cargo run fails: "a bin target must be available".
