panic

When a program stops because something went wrong it can't recover from.

A panic stops the current thread with an error message; an unhandled panic in main ends the program with exit status 101.

Examples

  • scores[slot] with slot equal to 3 on a three-item array panics: index out of bounds: the len is 3 but the index is 3, and the program exits with status 101.
