toolchain

One installed version of the Rust tools.

A toolchain is a matched set of rustc, Cargo, the standard library, and components for one release channel and version.

Examples

  • rustup show names the active toolchain, such as stable-aarch64-apple-darwin; a rust-toolchain.toml file can pin a project to a different one.
