Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

HTTP

The request-and-response protocol of the web: a client asks for something, a server answers.

HTTP is a text-based request/response protocol over TCP (or QUIC): a request names a method and path with headers and an optional body, and the response carries a status code, headers and a body.

Examples

  • The greenhouse sensor at 192.168.1.37 sends POST /api/readings with the body {"t":21.5,"rh":64} to a laptop server on port 8000.

  • The server answers HTTP/1.1 201 Created, so the sensor knows the reading was stored.
