rules engine

A service that watches incoming messages and runs an action when one matches a rule.

A rules engine evaluates conditions over a message stream and triggers actions (store, notify, republish), decoupling the devices that produce events from the services that react to them.

Examples

  • A rule subscribed to gh1/+/telemetry/moisture publishes to alerts/gh1/<device-id>/dry whenever a soil sensor reports moisture below 20 %.
