Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

window

A fixed run of consecutive samples treated as one unit, such as one second of readings.

A window is N consecutive samples from which features are computed; its length sets frequency resolution (f_s/N), feature noise, reaction time and memory.

Examples

  • The fan's window is N = 100 samples, one second at 100 Hz, and every feature is computed once per window.

  • A 1 s window on a fan turning at about 23 Hz holds about 23 turns and gives 1 Hz frequency detail.
