server-sent events
A way for a server to keep sending updates to a web page over one long HTTP response.
Server-sent events stream text events from server to browser over a single HTTP response with content type text/event-stream; the browser's EventSource reconnects automatically.
Examples
The greenhouse dashboard opens
GET /eventswithEventSource; the server answerstext/event-streamand writes a new event each time a reading arrives, and a reconnect sendsLast-Event-IDto resume.
